Presumed reprints of an assembled set, 1892 and others undated. Hard cover Crown 8vo, in uniform fine bindings of three-quarter blue calf over marbled paper-covered boards, the spine with five raised bands, with "George Eliot's Novels" and book titles upon onlaid red morocco labels in the second and third compartments. All edges marbled. Each work has both an illustrated title page as well as a letterpress title page. Printed by William Blackwood & Sons, Edinburgh. Please note that the Stereotyped Edtns. were reprinted from the early 1860's to the mid 1890's. **CONDITION: Very Good Plus Overall. A few light marks or scuffs to leather; two vols. with loss to marbled paper, as seen. Very light wear to head and foot of most volumes. Hinges and joints are in order, books are square and with next to no other shelf wear. Inside, very clean, with uniform engraved bookplate of a Victorian lady to each endpaper, pages bright and bindings tight. Some very minor foxing seen to some fly pages. Some vols. have a bit of polish offset to prelims which may be from manufacture. One or two other forgivable small oddities. A very nice and useable mixed set.
