All edges gilt, marbled end papers, gilt rolled turn-ins. Shilling rolled board edges and endcaps. Tissue guarded frontispiece portrait of the English Victorian Poet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861) with her facsimile signature. Title page illustrated with engraving of the Casa Guidi, Florence, home of the poet and her husband poet Robert Browning after their marriage in 1846. xviii, 548pp. Complete in one volume. **CONDITION: Near Fine with the merest of rubbing to tips and bottom edge shelfwear.
