Otherwise sound and clean.** In the first story, Trapper John Norton (and some new and old friends) face down a Canadian gang of desperados and card sharks, who have skulked south along the Raquette River into the Saranac Lake region, bringing a mysterious personage along with them. An extremely well-written, action-packed, canoe-driven, masterpiece by the father of the Outdoor Movement, the former minister and Author William Henry Harrison ["Adirondack"]Murray (1840-1904.) This story was originally published under another title in "Golden Rule" in 1878.
