Included are: Poetry: a Metrical Essay (1836); Miscellaneous Poems ( 1830 et al ); and Songs in Many Keys (1861). **Provenance: Virginia (Dodge) Poore, (1826-1894) born Washington D.C., married to fellow-Bay Stater, the influential Washington journalist, foreign correspondent, and author, Maj. Ben: Perley Poore (1820-1887). He was also the first President of Washington's Gridiron Club. The Poores would live the latter part of their lives at his family home in West Newbury, Massachusetts.
