Articles include "A Week's Leave in the Himalayas", "Introduction of Bayonets into the Army", and "How I Bought My Dog". ** The Northumberland Fusiliers became part of the British Army after their part in the "Glorious Revolution" of 1688, when William of Orange (William III), deposed James II to become king of England, Scotland and Ireland. They fought during many historical events, including: the Siege of Gibraltar (1727), the Battle of Warburg (1760), the Battle of Lexington and Concord (1775), the Battle of Bunker Hill (1775), the Peninsular War (1807-1814), the Second Boer War (1899-1902), and both World Wars. The regiment was finally reorganized as the 29th British Infantry Brigade in 1951.
