Condition: Fine. *** A study of the music, musical instruments, dance, songs and ceremonies of Native Americans, by the American anthropologist, Frances Theresa Densmore (1867-1957). As well as writing about the tribal songs, she made may recordings of them too, for the Bureau of American Ethnology (many of which are now housed in the Library of Congress). Her studies included the Chippewa, Mandan, Hidatsa, Sioux, Pawnee and the Papago.
