The Author, Olive Telford Dargan ( 1869-1968) was an admired, anthologized Southern writer of lyric poetry, novels, social novels and short stories. Trained as a teacher, she did graduate work at Radcliffe College where she met her future husband, Pergram Dargan, also a poet.
