Farrell (1904-1979) was most famous for the semi-autobiographical Studs Lonigan trilogy, completed just prior. He looks at some of the same themes of urban poverty here, writing about several generations of two immigrant, Irish-Catholic American families, the O'Neils and the O'Flaretys. Condition: This is a very clean, Near Fine copy in a Very Good dust jacket. There are some chips to the head and spine of the jacket and tape on the top front. The binding is firm and pages bright.
