Book of poetry by John Frederick Berbin (1860 - 1923), a Canadian author whose 1898 "History of Grand Pre" was one of the earliest histories of the Acadian people of Nova Scotia, and of their expulsion. Inscribed on blank page before title page: "The Marshlands and ___ remember you to-day and always. John Frederick Herbin. July 9, 1899". Enclosed with the book is a newspaper clipping of a review of the book. Condition: Good. Covers show wear at edges and have bumped corners.
