Robert Bridges (1844-1930) initially trained as a physician, was appointed Poet Laureate in 1913, and founded the Society for Pure English. Condition: Very Good, with a bit of light scuffing to boards, spine surface somewhat oxidized, and very minor wear to several corners. Interior is age-toned. Owner's initials stamped on front pastedown. Overall, a sound and very attractive book.
