He was a an announcer for Voice of America during WWII for its broadcasts to Europe. He was an avid book collector, and put up most of his collection for auction in 2001. Condition: Near Fine, with light shelf-wear to dust jackets with tiny closed tear to bottom edge of volume II's dust jacket.
